The Regulatory Council of the DO Ribera del Duero, in collaboration with the Aranda de Duero Town Council, connects culture and wine in this festival which, with only 4 editions, is the wine event of the year.
The eagerness and interest of the organisers to continue celebrating the event and to start on the road to normality after the pandemic, has meant that in 2021 it has finally been able to be held with the restrictions set by the legislation of the time, but with a resounding success that managed to attract more than 3,500 people.
The great grape harvest festival begins with the proclamation of the Ambassador of Ribera del Duero and the announcement of the “Ribereñ@” of the year, followed by the famous treading of grapes in the Plaza Mayor of Aranda accompanied by traditional dances and the tasting of the first grape juice.
After the inauguration, the only thing left to do during the weekend is to enjoy a myriad of leisure activities such as concerts by important groups both in the centre of the town and at the fairgrounds, parades, street shows, activities and workshops for children and so on.
In addition, in two other squares in the town, there are the well-known wine bars where you can enjoy the wines that are present in each stall represented by wineries of the region.
A perfect weekend combining leisure, culture and wine.
