A River of Wine
This will be the activity that will kick off a whole year full of events to commemorate Aranda’s European Wine Capital status.
This is one of the star activities that Aranda’s European Wine Capital owns and consists of the illumination of the Duero River in red to resemble the image of a river of wine.
Through ornamental lighting using a solar energy system, the aim is to create an effect that simulates “dyeing” the Duero red along with the area of El Barriles park and the Romanesque bridge to produce the sensation that the waters of the river are wine.
A magician will be on hand to perform a spectacular show that will make the river change colour and “turn” the water into wine.
